Here Kitty, Kitty!

[info]kitzheng and I have new stuff out!

It’s a novella called "The Tale of Tom Katt and Martin Rue," published by Torquere Press, as part of a three-novella anthology named Here, Kitty, Kitty.

(Here I will nick Kit’s images!)

(did that work?!)

The official blurb for the anthology )

So, right, basically – Kit got asked by Torquere to write a story for this anthology. The pitch was gay werecats. Kit wasn’t really feeling it so asked if I’d be interested in having a go at a collab, for the lulz, and we started batting ideas around and accidentally came up with a proper cracking mythology and storyline :-)

If you’d like to support us (buy it, read it, maybe write us a gushing, praise-filled review..?) it’s available here from Torquere:

Also, check out our release day bonus, because writing it made us roll :-D

Also, we’ve been interviewed about ‘The Tale…’ by the wonderful Mallory Path at Authors on Authors and you can Read it here :-)

Finally, again – sorry for not updating this journal. I only write under this pen-name for erotica/romance stuff and the majority of my time has been spent instead writing paranormal genre (still chipping away at the novel!). I’m working on a ‘proper’ website to hopefully showcase all of my writing so I will try and keep people up to date on this journal as it can get tricky juggling different online identities and I’m a simple soul who has trouble with it!!

Halloween SIPS and writing pledge

I didn't mention before (because I am clearly awful at updating this new journal!) but I submitted a story to Torquere Halloween SIPS recently. So keep your fingers crossed for me!

I'm actually quite excited about it because even if it never goes anywhere, it was easy and fun to write (a very rare thing!) and I'm pretty crazy about the two new characters I've got in it. It's nice to get enthused about new characters, it feels like it's been a while.

Writing a novel, characters can get pretty familiar.

[info]kitzheng  has suggested a writing pledge too, so I'm determined to spend an hour each night (SO not going to happen, but I can have the best intentions) cranking out some writing. First up, sci fi I have to write for anthology submission (I hate writing sci fi *sigh*) second up - get something done on the novel! I was pointed in the direction of an agent after YA Steampunk and I was all YAY about pushing the novel to them, but sadly the intermediary contact person has not got back to me with any more details. Which is just the way it generally goes :o\

I'm waiting until I've actually finished DPM before I start harassing agents and so on, I think. Miles to go yet.

'Drive' in Torquere's Bend Over Big Boy anthology - out today!

I've been lucky enough to have a story published in a new anthology edited by Kit Zheng over at Torquere Press. It's called Bend Over Big Boy, available NOW by going to this page on the Torquere site. My contribution's called Drive, and I suppose you could say it centres around desire and revenge in the criminal fraternity! I'm definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the stories, it's a nice long volume, so some time will definitely be set aside for enjoyment of that in the very near future. If you get yourself a copy, I hope you enjoy it - and please do let us know what you think. *salutes*
